I have been remiss in posting about April's Creative Fun Day and it has been over a week since that enjoyable event occurred.
It was a quieter day with only three people participating, but we had a great time. Rachel and I decided to try to build a cat house/bed/escape out of wire and plaster casting. After much trial and error and lots of "new learning" (in the form of "we probably won't try that again"), we came up with the basic form which is pictured below.
It was still a bit wet when Rachel took it home. We had decided that it looked like something you might find in a Dr. Seuss book. The next day Rachel did a bit of painting and here is what it looks like now.
I hope her cats love this as much as I do.
Sarah created some clever decoupage frames for her "boys". Each one is personalized to their likes and interests. One was still a bit wet when I took the picture so it is shiny-ier than it will be once it dries.
The next Creative Fun Day is Saturday, May 19. Put it on your calendar now. :)

April's Creative Fun Day
CREATIVE FUN DAY
WILL BE
SATURDAY
April 21 – from 12:30 – 6:00
At Jil’s House
5 Teague Court - Jonesborough
This month, several participants will be bringing different items with creative potential such as craft/art supplies and recyclables that they no longer want to swap and share with others. If you have items that you would like to get rid of and that you think other people might be able to use creatively, please bring them. This is not required of course and you do not have to bring anything in order to find some items that you might like to use. It is a Creativity Free Cycle.
